Jan Matuška

Jan Matuška is an independent consultant and businessman focusing on training and coaching for effective negotiation and development of small manufacturing companies. For more than twelve years, he has worked in various purchasing positions in industrial companies of different focuses and for the longest time in strategic purchasing. During that time he has completed thousands of negotiations, negotiated hundreds of agreements and contracts, and initiated hundreds of business relationships. He also has experience in crisis management during the „semiconductor crisis“ during and after covid and is happy to share it.

He has worked in a number of Czech and multinational companies such as Zetor, AWL, Reflex-Allen and Lear Corp. He brought his analytical thinking, creativity, desire and drive to be at the forefront when things were changing and strategic insight to all his assignments. He can operate in a multicultural corporate environment and is equally at home in a shop with metal sponges on the floor and the smell of machine emulsion. His focus has always been on long-term sustainability of business relationships through win-win agreements and maximizing revenue and performance.

He also has experience in professional online content creation, graphics, social media management and copywriting.

Jan studied journalism and philosophy at the Faculty of Arts in Brno, but has spent his entire career as a businessman.

He has undergone a number of trainings and study programmes on LEAN and effective processes, leadership, negotiation – in the Czech Republic with Vit Prokůpek and abroad at the London School of Economics and Political Science, and is continuously educating himself in social psychology, behavioural economics, negotiation theories and other fields in order to have the most up-to-date scientifically based knowledge.
